Units with remote-monitoring firmware behind an R2 bridge send telemetry every few minutes and show reporting or overdue. Overdue means the reports stopped, not that the unit is off: its 4G link may be down. Older units transmit only when a flush starts or mains changes, so for them a quiet unit and one that is switched off look identical from here.
